FriendLynk (“FriendLynk,” “we,” ”us,” ”Company”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information that is collected through our mobile device and our website (collectively, our “Services”).
Information We Collect
We collect information in order to provide you with the best possible experience. We collect the following types of information about you.
Registration and Profile Information
When you create an account, we may collect your personal information such as your first and last name, username, email address, mobile phone number and a photo, if you choose to have a photo associated with your account.
We collect your unique user identifier and your location through GPS, WiFi, or wireless network triangulation in order to obtain your location in order to provide our Services. If you turn off location sharing, we will not share your location; however, while you are logged in to your account, we will continue to collect your location information in order to provide the Services (for example, to provide you with current Event information). We maintain your personal location information only so long as is reasonable to provide the Services. Location information is then disassociated from personal information. We may maintain de-identified location data for a longer period of time in order to analyze aggregate trends and metrics. If you no longer wish to allow us to collect and use your location information, you may discontinue the use of the location identifier.
We collect information when you choose to find and purchase tickets through the Services. We maintain event data without your personal identification in order to analyze aggregate trends and metrics. We collect this information to provide you the best possible ticket purchasing experience.
Information we collect from Facebook and other third party services
You may sign up for our Services through Facebook. If you so do, we will request your permission to access and collect information including your public profile, list of friends, email address, event rsvp’s and likes.
Information we collect automatically through the use of technology
When you visit our website (“Site”) or use our mobile app, we may collect certain information about your computer or device through technology such as cookies, web beacons, log files, or other tracking/recording tools. The information we collect through the use of tracking technologies includes, but is not limited to, IP address, browser information, referring/exit pages and URLs, click stream data and how you interact with links on the website, mobile app, Services, domain names, landing pages, page views, and cookie data that allows us to uniquely identify your browser, browsing behavior on our site, mobile device IDs or other persistent identifiers, and location data collected from your mobile device. Some or all of this data may be combined with other personally identifying information described above. When you access our Services by or through a mobile device, we may receive or collect and store unique identification numbers associated with your device or other mobile application (including, for example, a UDID, Google Ad ID, or Windows Advertising ID) mobile device operating system brand and model, phone number, and, depending on your mobile device settings, your geographical location data, including GPS coordinates (e.g. latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device.
We use this information to remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it next time you visit our mobile app or Site. We also use this information to track your location and movements, and to provide custom, personalized content and information. In addition, we use this information to monitor the effectiveness of our Services and analyze aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, users, traffic, and demographic patterns.
We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregate usage, performance data, and from where the application was downloaded.
How we use information we collect
We do not sell, share, or rent any personal information to third parties in any ways different from what is disclosed in this Policy. However, we may share your personal information with third parties outside the Company in the form of non-personalized information and aggregate information without your authorization. We also use your information to better understand how users access and use our Site and Services, both on an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to improve our Services and respond to your preferences, and for other research and analytical purposes.
You should only share your location with people you know and trust. You should note that information you post on any interactive areas with information from others that is provided for the purpose of being shared may be publicly available and can potentially be viewed by anyone.
